PROJECTS (Current and Future)
These are a few of the projects for our Volunteers.
RUSTON BUCYRUS 10RB Dragline.
This recently acquired machine is in need of a cosmetic restoration, prior to becoming a static display. The machine was decommissioned during 2007 after working for the drainage board adjacent to the museum. Repairs are required to the bodywork and measures to prevent further corrosion plus a full repaint. A bit like working on your car but on a larger scale!
CAR PARK / GROUNDS / PREMISES.
The area around the museum is in need of constant attention to keep it looking clean and smart. This mainly involves grass-cutting, weeding-killing and tending flower beds. Just the job for a keen gardener!
The premises also need regular maintenance and repairs / decoration : Put your DIY skills to good use.
MUSEUM DISPLAYS.
The museum displays are due an upgrade. Additional material dealing with aspects of fenland drainage and improvements in presentation of existing displays : Apply your model-making skills to producing dioramas and general artistic skills to develop displays of photographs and archive material.
