WAYS WE RAISE FUNDS
As a small independent Museum and Registered Educational Charity, we are not Government-funded and the day-to-day running costs are met by our own fund-raising initiatives, some of which are listed below. You can help the Museum meet its expenses by purchasing items from our online shop and by visiting the Museum.
HIRE of MUSEUM HALL : Available for meetings and small exhibitions.
DONATIONS : As a registered charity, we are able to recover the income tax paid on sums donated.
ADMISSIONS : Our primary source of income is from visitors, through the admission charges.
CAFE : This is open during museum opening hours and in addition to providing a service to museum visitors, caters for walkers on the Hereward Way and boaters moored on the River Lark.
SALES of GOODS
The museum shop stocks a range of gifts, including books and DVDs.
The DVD ‘Fragile Landscape : The Story of Fenland Drainage and History of the Prickwillow Drainage Engine Museum’ is available by mail-order.
